The position will primarily involve assisting with the preparation of accounts, VAT returns and tax returns for a varied client base. This includes the use of accounting software such as IRIS, Freeagent, Xero, Quickbooks & Kashflow as well as active communication with clients.
Assistance with payroll processing will also be required.
The position is in our Wick office and, ideally, full-time (35 hours per week) but flexible working hours will be considered for the right candidate.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant qualifications/experience in accounting
- Microsoft Office literacy
- Accounting software literacy e.g., IRIS, Cloud accounting packages
- Excellent time management
- Organised and methodical work approach
- Ability to work under own supervision when required.
The successful candidate should have a good educational record.
Recent experience in an accountancy practice would be ideal but other relevant work experience will be considered.
