Location: Kinloch Lodge in a stunning location on the Kyle of Sutherland, close to Tongue

Hours: Full-time, permanent

The Role

Chefs at Kinloch are immersed in a living larder, with the best of seafood, game and livestock that Sutherland has to offer. It’s an inspiring place where respect for the ingredients is the cornerstone of our work.

We offer a lifestyle that is far removed from urban market demand, yet the kitchen design and equipment we have is of the highest standard, meeting every contemporary need.

You can expect open fire cooking, outdoor bothy BBQ, family style dining, seasonal highlights, and all with a focus on local and seasonal produce.

We pride ourselves on cutting edge recipes that combine simplicity with excellence and which eschew excess frivolity.

We take pleasure in finishing and serving our food to the guests and with a maximum 14 covers, we get the time to really excel at what we do.

Our Chef team is a close knit, supportive group that is growing and is as committed to each other and to our health and wellness as we are to proving the best experiences for our small groups of discerning guests.

The Place

Kinloch Lodge is a restorative place is rich in all the ways that matter: with wild, ever-changing landscapes; and only the fauna to share them with. Explore all that the wild lands of Kinloch have to offer, then come home to a cosy, restful lodge surrounded by private woodland. It is truly a place where ‘the world can’t find you’.

Who you are

You may already have worked as a Head Chef or will be a Senior Sous Chef ready for the next step. Ideally your background will be in fine dining or perhaps as a private chef

You will have passion for your craft and respect for the ingredients you use

Naturally creative, you will enjoy variety and respond positively to changes or special events

An encouraging leader, you will bring the best out of the other team members
