NHS Community Mental Health Nurse, Band 6 – Caithness Community Mental Health Team (Base to be confirmed)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Mental Health Nurse, who has experience of working with older adults with mental health illness and/or cognitive impairment in Caithness.  The service provides support to adults over the age of 65 years and any age with cognitive impairment. You will be registered with the NMC and work within your code of conduct at all times.

 

This exciting post will involve assessment, care planning , risk assessment, implementation and evaluation, in partnership with the client, family and carers.

 

You will be an active member of a MDT, working closely with psychiatrists, psychologists and wider allied professionals.  You will be responsible for supervising students and support workers.

 

This is a permanent full-time post of 37.5 hours per week, to be worked flexibly in accordance with service requirements.  The role will also include being part of the Place of Safety service for escort of detained patients to an identified place of safety/inpatient unit.  If appropriate this post can offer a relocation package.

 

A driving licence is essential and a pool car may be available, however, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, if required.
