Are you a skilled Class 1 HGV driver looking for an exciting opportunity to travel all over the country? Look no further! O’Brien Recycling is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Class 1 HGV Driver.
About Us: At O’Brien Recycling, we’re committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. We specialize in recycling services and operate all over the UK, including locations such as Leeds, Glasgow, and even the scenic Orkney Islands. Our base/site is situated in Ulbster, Lybster, Caithness. As we continue to expand our operations, we’re looking for talented individuals to join the team.
Position: Part-time Class 1 HGV Driver Location: Base location, Ulbster in Lybster, Caithness, with travel to other locations across the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle to transport recyclable materials to various destinations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure roadworthiness.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Represent O’Brien Recycling with professionalism and courtesy when interacting with clients and the public.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 HGV license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a Class 1 HGV driver preferred.
- Ability to travel extensively and spend nights away from home as needed.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and routes.
