Physiotherapy Professional Lead
This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a professional lead role for Physiotherapy for Caithness whilst maintaining a clinical caseload.
We are looking for a supportive, motivated, inspiring leader to professionally lead the Physiotherapy Service in Caithness. This post holder will be well supported operationally, professionally, and strategically in this role by operational managers, North Highland physiotherapy Lead and will join a network of other peer physiotherapy leads in NHSH to lead change in the profession. The post combines leadership with a senior clinical role with approximately 60% clinical 40% leadership split, depending on service need. The clinical caseload will consist of a mixture of MSK, community and inpatient rehab, depending on service need. The professional leadership aspect of the role is responsible for the development of safe, high quality, clinically effective patient centred services. The post holder will ensure these are delivered through effective leadership, ensuring staff well-being and support. This post holder will be encouraged to engage in NHSH leadership training to develop their skills within this role.
As a Board, NHS Highland recently set out its Together We Care Strategy, alongside the Adult Services Strategic Plan (2024- 2027) with Highland Council) This sets out a clear direction for NHS Highland as a whole system over the next few years. As Physiotherapy Professional Lead for Caithness, you work alongside Operational Managers, other physiotherapy leads and other professional leaders and services to deliver on these.
To be successful you will have significant experience with the NHS or local authority setting, will be interested in Quality Improvement and will possess strong leadership skills. A development post will be considered.
A current driving licence is essential.
A relocation package will be considered.
This is a permanent part-time post at 33.7 hours per week. Job-share applicants will be considered.
